I'm testing out VLC and getting to know it to see if it can meet my needs for a project. I tried the streaming from one windows computer to another on the same LAN for starters and I can get the first computer to stream, but the second computer which is supposed to receive the stream says it cannot open the strewam, to check the log file for details.
