So just to summarize: i had a Asus P5KL-AM SE ACPI 0602. So i upgraded first the BIOS with the latest version from Asus website and i got it with the 0702 release which seems like enable's AHCI on the motherboard. In fact there's a new setting for the SATA to be 'enhanced' which might be this AHCI. I followed 'WTFM!' Guide in installing Snow Leopard since it was a tried/proven install method for my mobo.
To cut it short, I got it working successfully. What i noticed during the install was the generic video and sound drivers worked during initial setup. When i run Multibeast for SL and choose Easyboot and Chimera options, i skipped on VoodooHDA 2.2 package because i already heard my sound worked. But after booting as standalone (without the iBoot disc), i had no sound. What happened, is it better to use the VoodooHDA 2.2 package or can i get the default drivers back. Whats the best option?
Btw, i have a Palit GTS 250 with 1gb memory. Works perfectly without the need for tweaking.
Tested some movies i had and also videos from the internet and it seems stable and optimized. Voldsom kning for mac. Any info appreciated. I followed 'WTFM!' Guide in installing Snow Leopard since it was a tried/proven install method for my mobo. To cut it short, I got it working successfully.

I've downloaded and been using the latest Multibeast for Snow Leopard v3.10.1 thats available in the download area, double checked it like you mentioned but the only version of VoodooHDA is 0.2.72. I'm still using 2.2 and what irritates me is that I can play my DVD movies perfectly with VLC, but my FLAC music sounds like crap on the Mac. Free computer cleanup software for mac. On my PC it sounds crystal. I've reinstalled SL again and noticed this. After booting with iBoot and installing SL, the default sound works. I then install the SL 10.6.8 update and run Multibeast 3.10.1 without VoodoHDA 2.2 and the default sound drivers are gone.
